Generate Your First Captions File

If you’re using Teleprompter Premium:
When Auto Captions is enabled, your captions file begins ‘recording’ when you start scrolling your script. By default, your captions file will only complete recording when you reach the end of your script.

To generate your first captions file, open any of your scripts, make sure that the Enable Auto Captions option is enabled in the settings, then begin scrolling through your script until it reaches the end.

You can then adjust and export your .srt caption file by tapping the settings icon at the bottom, then selecting Caption Files.

If you’re using Video Teleprompter:
When Auto Captions is enabled, your captions file begins and ends recording at the same time that your video begins and ends recording. This means your captions file will be perfectly timed to your recorded video.

To generate your first captions file, open any of your scripts, make sure that the Enable Auto Captions option is enabled in the settings, then record a video of any length.

You will now see a new option to add subtitles to your recorded video when saving it. You can also adjust and export your .srt caption file after saving or discarding your video, by tapping the settings icon at the bottom, then selecting Caption Files.
