Teleprompter Apps

Help

This particular feature is only available on iOS and Mac. If you're using Android, this feature may not be available, or may be different.

Keyboard Control

You can use any connected keyboard to control the teleprompter.

Firstly, you’ll need to have your keyboard paired with your iPad or iPhone. You can find out more information about how to pair your keyboard on the Apple Support website: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204091.

Once you have your keyboard working, you can use it in Teleprompter as both a regular keyboard input for making script edits, and as a controller for scrolling.

To use your keyboard as a controller, there are no extra steps to take. Simply use the shortcuts below:

  • Space Bar: Start / Stop Scrolling
  • r: Start / Stop Recording (Teleprompter Premium only)
  • : Decrease Scroll Speed -1
  • : Increase Scroll Speed +1
  • Shift + : Decrease Scroll Speed -10
  • Shift + : Increase Scroll Speed +10
  • ( or ⊞ Win) + : Previous Cue point
  • ( or ⊞ Win) + : Next Cue point
  • 8: Change scroll direction up/down
  • ( or ⊞ Win) + e: Edit Script
  • ( or ⊞ Win) + s: Finish Editing Script

If you’re using an iPad, you can hold the or ⊞ Win key to display a list of the keyboard shortcuts.
